I have been working as a goldsmith for nearly 30 years.  I completed a pre-apprentice course at St John Cass College in London.  I continued my training in a small workshop working on repairing Faberge picture frames, flowers, plants, stone statues and enamelled boxes.  I also made Cartier watches and bangles.  We also did work for indivdual customers e.g. watch cases, pens and lighters.

I moved on to make jewellery for De Vroomen Designs Ltd.  While I was there I made a pair of earrings that were given to Princess Diana for her 21st birthday from Prince Charles.  We also made jewellery for the West End shops.

I joined McCabe and McCarty in 1984, and became Workshop Manager a few years later. I have worked on indivdual pieces for Aspreys, Cartiers, David Morris, Hilton Jewellers, William and Sons and Graff.  I have also travelled to the Middle East and Hong Kong to deliver and fit up pieces for customers.  I have completed repair work on various items such as desk sets, Faberge and models.  I have also made models such as yachets, tugs, mosques, wild west carriage and even a Rolls Royce.  I have made a limited edition pens in Gold, Silver and Platinum.  I have also made swords for Wilkinson Swords Company, including swords for the celebration of the Queens Golden Jubilee.  Also I have worked on firearms, making them ornate.

During my time with McCabe and McCarty I trained an apprentice for five years.  He went on to receive 1st prize and then Best Junior in the Goldsmiths competition the following year.

On leaving McCabe and McCarty I am now working on my own.  I have been working on jewellery and ob'ject D Art.

The examples of work, on the web site, have been produced for previous customers who include the Sultan of Brunei, Sultan of Oman, the British Royal Family (including Princess Diana) and a former British Prime Minister.
